Samarium is primrose, it is used as raw materials of samarium cobalt permanent magnet,.as a rare earth,the cobalt magnet of samarium is to use in industry at first. These kind of permanent magnet is two kinds SmCo5 catena and Sm2Co17 catena. Invented SmCo5 catena in earlier stage of the 70’s, invented Sm2Co17 catena on later stage . It is that a main demand of later products now. The purity which oxide samarium of using in the cobalt magnet of samarium is not too high. from consider at the cost respect, commonly using the products about 95% or so . In addition, oxide samarium is also used in the ceramic condenser and activator. Moreover, the samarium also has nuclear nature , can be used as the structural material of the atomic energy reactor, shield material and control the material ,it make nuclear fission be utilized safely to produce enormous energy .
